This song is a reflection on society’s current obsession with social media. There’s a lot of toxicity contained with in this need for connection online which affects us as people in real life. It details feeling like you need to be someone else and the overwhelming desire to be involved in every second of someone else’s life. In turn, you don’t look up from your screen to experience what’s actually going on around you. Technology advancement is scary and it’s starting to consume people in such a way that genuine conversation will die in years to come.
