The song is about taking the weight of someone else's grief. It details my experiences with family in times of turmoil & how you try to help the people you love by understanding & absorbing the pain in an attempt to heal, empathise, & ease the suffering. However, it also torments you as you sink into the problems that revolve around you.

It’s like nothing we’ve ever done. Pre-conceptions have been thrown out. We’ve got acoustic instruments, electronics, no heavily distorted guitars. It started off as a mellow track but turned into this beautifully monstrous electro-acoustic whirlwind. Bon Iver played a huge part in its creation. It’s a really bold statement but we’re confident.
